OSCE PA’s Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions holds an online meeting

OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions has held an online meeting, APA reports.

The meeting focused on respect for human rights and maintaining democratic control during emergencies.

Member of Azerbaijani Parliament Amina Aghazada delivered a speech.

She stated that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has set the protection of the health of citizens of Azerbaijan and strengthening the fight against the pandemic as the number one task since the first day of measures to combat the coronavirus in the country, and instructed all government agencies to focus on this area: “ Necessary measures are underway in our country amid preventing global pandemic in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers. As a result of the urgent steps taken, the situation in Azerbaijan is under control.”
