By the requirement of 42 deputies, the chairperson of Milli Majlis will adopt order on holding the committee and commission meetings of Milli Majlis via the internet on the real-time regime for a certain period in connection with the implementation of quarantine regime, sanitary-epidemiological and other similar measures, it was reflected in a proposed amendment “On Internal regulations of Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” being discussed at the plenary meeting of Milli Majlis held today, APA reports.

Voting in meetings held real-time will be carried out through the strengthened electronic signatures of deputies. Amendments are also being made to the types and procedure of voting at the meetings of Parliament in connection with the holding of meetings of the Azerbaijani Parliament and its committees via the Internet.
According to the current Internal Regulations, a deputy who was not in the hall of the Parliament during the voting could not vote after the time allotted for voting expired. According to the amendments proposed, the requirement for a deputy to be in the hall for voting is abolished. According to the proposed new amendment, a deputy cannot vote after the time allotted for voting expired.
Provision of the law on holding committee and commission meetings of the Milli Majlis in real-time via the Internet will be in force until December 30, 2020
The draft was put to a vote in the plenary session and adopted.
