"When the complaints are objective, CEC cancels election results on the constituency," deputy executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Siyavush Novruzov said in an interview with APA News Agency.
While answering the question of "Central Election Commission declared invalid election results in 4 constituencies. In two of the constituencies candidates, put forward by the NAP were leader candidates – Huseynbala Miralamov in Khatai I Election Constituency #33 and Hadi Rajabli in Lankaran District Election Constituency #74. What is the attitude of the Party? Why were the results of the elections cancelled in those constituencies, in your opinion?" Mr Novruzov said that complaints were received and the CEC solved the issue on the basis of the complaints: "When the complaints are objective, CEC cancels election results on the constituency."
According to him, many people were interested in these constituencies. "They tried to commit a provocation there and achieved it. An investigation has been conducted and constituencies have been canceled as a result. However one of these persons is Chairman of the organization of our district, another one is a member of the Political Council of NAP. They continue their party activities again."
