Supreme Commander-in-Chief: “Azerbaijani Army had no any deserter during the war”

“I want to express the heroism of the Azerbaijani people once again,” President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev said in his speech at the Victory Parade in Baku's Azadliq (Freedom) Square today, APA reports.

Supreme Commander-in-Chief noted that heinous enemy committed war crimes against the civilian population while being defeated on the battlefield.

President Ilham Aliyev noted that during the war, the Armenian Army has more than 10 thousand deserters: 

“Azerbaijani Army had no deserter during the war. Our wounded soldiers and officers ask doctors at hospitals to treat them as soon as possible in order to return to the battlefield and to finish their mission.  Azerbaijani people demonstrated their greatness and high morale spirit. The author of this Victory is the Azerbaijani people. We have fulfilled our historical mission by showing unity, will, determination and national spirit.”
