Term of the law on holding plenary sessions and meetings of MM committees by means of videoconferences extended

The term of the law on holding plenary sessions and meetings of MM committees by means of videoconferences has been extended, the draft law "On Amendments to the Internal Charter of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan" was discussed today in the Milli Majlis Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, APA reports.

However, a final decision on whether the law will be in effect during the spring session of next year or in general in 2021 has not been made.

After discussions, a decision was made on the duration of the law until the beginning of the plenary sessions of the Milli Mejlis.

Note that the term of the law covered the period until December 30, 2020.

According to the law, on the basis of the appeal of 42 deputies of the Milli Majlis in connection with the use of quarantine regime, sanitary-epidemiological and other similar measures, the chairman of the Milli Mejlis decides to hold MM meetings for a certain period, as well as meetings of committees and parliamentary commissions in real time through videoconferences ...

Registration and voting at meetings held in the format of videoconferences is carried out by means of enhanced electronic signatures of the deputies.
