Turk PA Observation Mission: “Elections were held in accordance with international standards”

“Democratic condition has been established in the elections to the Parliament (Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, international and country’s rules have been followed, equal opportunities provided for candidates for access to media and meeting with voters”, head of Observation Mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (Turk PA) Ismat Ucma at the press conference held today in relation to parliamentary elections, APA reports.

According to him, the CEC has informed on election process and recording complaints: “Unfortunately, there is a group of people in Azerbaijan, expelled from their native lands as a result of Armenian invasion. Condition has been established in 573 polling stations in order to facilitate their voting. Chairman of the CEC stated there were 5 million 329 thousand 461 voter lists. All of voters were able to learn any information on them conveniently.”
