Azerbaijan’s CEC: Rafael Jabrayilov has no right to possess mandate
- 02 October 2019
“Rafael Jabrayilov noted in his appeal to Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) that as if he had left his deputy ID for III and IV appeal as a deposit”, said Secretary of Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Rahimov, APA reports.
He added R. Jabrajilov stressed in his appeal it was not true.
“The letter reads that the issue is completely false. His keeps deputy ID. Note that Special complaints have not been sent to the CEC related to his deputy activity of 15 years. News disseminated in the mass media recently shows how insincere he has acted. If you are busy with additional activity besides your deputy mandate, it damages the image of both you and Milli Majlis. We wish a deputy not to act contrary to the law. If he wanted to refuse his deputy mandate, he had to appeal to the Central Election Commission primarily. However, he appealed to Milli Majlis and pleaded for mercy. He does not have a right to possess a mandate”, he added.
