Deputy PM: It is possible that the opposition came under the influence of foreign special services

Today, a nationwide consultation of district and city organizations of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) has been held, APA reports.

Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the NAP Ali Akhmedov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli, deputies of the Milli Majlis, members of the NAP has attended the consultation.

Speaking at the meeting, A Akhmedov said that municipal elections will be held in Azerbaijan in December: “In connection with the municipal elections, as always, on the eve of the election campaign, the country is observed political revival. Separate groups and sections of the opposition have revived. They joined political processes with their inherent principles. The political campaign conducted by most of the opposition is actually accompanied by a loss of the concept of “political opposition”.

The deputy prime minister noted that recently the opposition has been idealizing Armenia in order to overshadow the realities of Azerbaijan: “This causes a feeling of disgust in every citizen of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is roughly compared with Armenia. They are trying to show life in Armenia in a different way. And against this background, they distort the realities of Azerbaijan. Thus, they are trying to create mistrust in the government’s policies in Azerbaijani society. They are conducting double propaganda intended for an audience outside of Azerbaijan to harm the image of the Azerbaijani government. It is possible that the opposition came under the influence of foreign special services. ”

Then the meeting has been continued without the participation of journalists.
