Hafiz Pashayev, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Rector of the ADA University, appealed to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, to ask for his dismissal from the post of Deputy Foreign Minister, APA reports.

In his address, Pashayev said that he has spent 27 years working in the state structures of independent Azerbaijan and has always done his best to justify modern Azerbaijan's founder Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev’s trust. Pashayev took this step at his own discretion, taking into account the call for the recruitment of new and young personnel into the civil service for the effective implementation of reforms under the leadership of the Head of State.

Pashayev will continue to work as a member of the Foreign Ministry's board taking into consideration his position as the Rector of ADA University under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
