"The Azerbaijani government does not grudge its efforts on preserving historical and religious monuments and building new religious temples," the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has said it at the 2nd Baku Summit of World Religious Leaders, APA reports.

The head of state said that with the financial support of the Azerbaijani state, the temples of all religions were repaired or rebuilt. "Interreligious dialogue has a long history in Azerbaijan. Modern Azerbaijani state is committed to these traditions. We are committed to Islam, we are propagating our religion. At the same time, representatives of all religions live and work in Azerbaijan and perform their religious rituals. There is a very good public atmosphere in our country."
