The Presidential Administration clarifies the news on the activities of the Ministry of Defense Industry

The Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has clarified the information on the activity of the Ministry of Defense Industry, APA reports citing Presidential press service.

The information reads:

"Some internet websites and social networks have been spreading wrong and groundless information about the activity of the Ministry of Defense Industry in the last few days.

We, therefore, state that according to part 1 of the Decree No 466 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 14 January 2019 "On establishment of "Azersilah" Open Joint Stock Company, "Azersilah" Open Joint Stock Company was established on the basis of the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the same time, as stipulated in part 5 of the Decree, the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan would continue to operate until the day the Society underwent state registration in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On state registration and state register of legal entities". Considering the above-mentioned, namely, the fact that "Azersilah" Open Joint Stock Company has not yet undergone state registration and that Decree No 466 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of January 14, 2019, has been repealed, the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan is not considered abolished and continues its activities."
