Azerbaijani CEC cancels referendum results in three polling stations

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan has cancelled the results of the Sept. 26 constitutional referendum in three polling stations, CEC Secretary Arifa Mukhtarova told reporters on Tuesday.

Mukhtarova noted that the referendum results were partially annulled in one polling station.

The referendum results were cancelled in polling station No.14 of Garadagh Constituency No.11, polling station No.10 of Garadagh-BInagadi-Yasamal Constituency No.12 and polling station No.2 of Jalilabad Constituency No.68 were annulled completely.

The results were partially cancelled in polling station No.35 of Sabnchu Constituency No.64.

The referendum to make amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution was held on Sept. 26.

The voter turnout throughout the country stood at 69.7 percent, or 3,671,707 people. According to the Election Code, the referendum was considered valid.
