Azerbaijani MP: Shahin Mirzayev who received asylum in Armenia was member of National Council

Shahin Mirzayev, who had recently received a temporary asylum in Armenia, was a member of the National Council in Azerbaijan, said Siyavush Novruzov, MP, deputy executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), APA reported.

"If you remember, in Azerbaijan there is an association, called the National Council, and this person is a member of it. He supported the National Council in the Azerbaijani presidential election in 2013, and now received an asylum from Armenia. It is clearly seen who is a traitor. And traitors wish to govern Azerbaijan. Today the people around them are ready with great pleasure to obtain the Armenian citizenship. We must resolutely fight against such persons,” the MP said.
