The presidential election in Azerbaijan was fair, transparent, and there was no pressure on voters, Claude Monique, member of the observation mission of the European Strategic Intelligence and Security Center (Belgium), said at a press conference in Baku April 12, APA reports.

“On the election day, we visited 20 polling stations. According to our observations, the election was organized effectively. No serious violations were registered during the voting,” he noted.

Monique went on to say that the process of counting votes at polling stations was open and transparent.

“The installed web cameras increase the transparency of the electoral process. We checked the exit-poll results with the preliminary results announced by the CEC and positively assessed it as an expression of democratic elections," he said.
