Azerbaijan is currently seriously engaged in creating the North-South Transport Corridor, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said on Wednesday at a meeting with the staff of the Nakhchivan Teachers Institute, APA reports.
The head of state noted that all the work on this project in the territory of Azerbaijan is over.
"We have invested a lot of money in this project. I hope that this project will be put into operation for in the next three years. This is our plan. In this case, Nakhchivan will be linked with the main territory of Azerbaijan via the railroad, thereby escaping from the blockade," President Aliyev added.
