Unfortunately, some internal forces, who were against the Azerbaijani statehood and government, spoke out in defense of Stepan Shaumian when the graves of 26 Baku commissars were exhumed under the instruction of Azerbaijan’s president, Azerbaijani MP Yagub Mahmudov said at a parliamentary session on Friday, APA reports.
“During the exhumation it was revealed that Shaumian’s body was not in this grave. We declared this to the whole world. However, unfortunately, some people immediately tried to cover up this issue. For this reason, we can not completely disclose the truth,” he added.
