Orders of police officers martyred in Ganja presented to family members

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Police, the Interior Ministry held an event of conferring state awards upon a group of police officers, as well as posthumous orders upon two police officers who heroically died while preventing an attempt to brutally disrupt public order in the city of Ganja on July 10, 2018, APA reported.

Azerbaijan’s Interior Minister Ramil Usubov presented the “Flag of Azerbaijan” Orders conferred upon two police officers – Ilgar Balakishiyev and Samad Abbasov, martyred while performing their state duties, to their family members under the instruction of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Minister Usubov wished the bereaved family members to continue the heroic path of their fathers and to be worthy sons of their Motherland.

Later, a group of employees conferred by the head of state were presented high awards on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Police.

Minister Usubov expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani president for the high evaluation of tense and selfless labor of the ministry’s employees, and especially for the awarding of two police officers who heroically died in the city of Ganja on July 10, 2018. The minister noted that such high attention and care causes enthusiasm of all employees of the interior bodies and puts additional responsibility on them. Usubov said that the Azerbaijani police will further overcome any tasks decently and faithfully serve the Motherland, its people and president.
