US President Donald Trump's decision paves the way for rise of Islamophobia worldwide, Azerbaijani MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev said on Wednesday.
The adoption of such a decision is disgrace for the US that describes itself as a defender of democracy, the MP said commenting on Trump’s decision banning immigration from seven predominantly Muslim countries in the Middle East and Africa, APA reported.
“From time to time, Azerbaijan was criticized by different US agencies, non-governmental organizations. The Trump administration has recently imposed an entry ban for citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries,” Hasanguliyev said calling on local political parties to express their protest in this regard.
