Azerbaijan is one of the most stable and safest countries in the world, the country’s deputy interior minister, Oruj Zalov, said addressing a seminar organized for chairpersons of district election commissions by the Central Election Commission, APA reports.

The Interior Ministry has developed an action plan for voters to freely express their will on the election day, the deputy minister noted.

“A list of citizens who have the right to vote will be identified, and identification cards will be issued to them. Today, most people move to large cities and live there. Every citizen must be registered in the place of residence or registration. This work will be finalized soon. Public security will be provided at the places of assemblies and meetings,” he said.

The deputy minister warned that unauthorized rallies during and voting will be resolutely prevented.

“The delivery of ballots to polling stations will be strictly controlled by the police. Security will also be ensured during the delivery of ballot papers to district election commissions and the CEC,” he added.
