"Recently, some thoughts have been voiced several times, especially by the representatives of the Russian Federation within the framework of the international events that there are centers in Azerbaijan that allegedly conduct research on biological weapons with the financial support of third countries. These opinions, put forward without any facts, are met with some concern by the public of our country," says Azerbaijan's State Security Service, APA reports.
"We note in this regard that such scientific centers have never operated in Azerbaijan, and no research has been conducted that could harm the health of the country's population or citizens of neighboring countries. It is unfortunate that such information is expressed at international events, including in an influential organization such as the UN, without studying the position of the Azerbaijani side.
At the same time, speaking of partnership relations, we express our readiness to investigate specific facts raised by the other party if they are presented," noted in the information.
