Baku prepares for the anniversary of January 20 Tragedy

Preparation works are underway in the Alley of Martyrs on the anniversary of the January 20 tragedy, the Press Service of Baku City Executive Power told APA.

In connection with the anniversary of the January 20 tragedy, the structures of the Baku City Executive Power are carrying out repair, extensive cleaning, and landscaping work in the Alley of Martyrs. Branches of trees, some bushes were pruned, lawn was renewed, new flowers and bushes were planted, light poles were painted, sidewalks and the whole area were washed, preventive measures have been conducted in both torches in the Alley.

Special compositions of different colored carnations are being prepared in the alley on the anniversary of the tragedy, which are involved by the experienced specialists, landscape designers.

Preparatory work is planned to be completed by January 19.
