Lent clarity to the reasons for bias policy of US towards Azerbaijan

"Certain circles in the US government are pursuing policies that contradict US interests. Such circles act under the ideological influence," said Fuad Chiragov, Head of Department at the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), at an open discussion for the media on the main views voiced during the interview of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Azerbaijani TV channels on January 12, APA reports.

Mr. Chiragov said that certain forces in Washington accept all the actions of Armenia as a whimsy child: “However, the activities of Azerbaijan, which pursues a balanced policy and contributes to Europe's energy security, are not properly assessed, leading to unrealistic policy. We also witness such an approach in relation to Turkey, which has the second-largest military force in NATO."
