Russian peacekeepers temporarily stationed in the Lachin corridor are preparing to move, APA reports.

Demolition of checkpoints and buildings where Russian soldiers live at the entrance of the Lachin corridor from the direction of Gubadli district and along the road has been started.

Russian peacekeepers will temporarily move to a new corridor.

Note that Azerbaijan commissioned a road, which connects Karabakh with Armenia without passing through Lachin city, within a short period of time.

For this reason, deadline for leaving Armenians, who illegally settled in Lachin city, Zabukh, and Sus villages located on the corridor, the territory has been scheduled for end of August.

Process of withdrawal of Armenians from Lachin city, Zabukh and Sus villages, where they illegally settled for 30 years, is already about to be completed.

After completion of the period, the mentioned residential settlements will pass under full control of Azerbaijan.

While Russian peacekeepers will continue their services on the new road temporarily.
