On June 7, Vasif Talibov, chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic signed an order on holding a by-election in Aza constituency #45.
Ilhama Mustafayeva, elected as deputy from Aza constituency #45 during the election to Nakhchivan’s Supreme Assembly on 1 November 2015, appealed to the local Central Election Commission in which she rejected her deptuty mandate.
After being elected as the deputy, she was dismissed from the post of director of Nakhchivan Medical School under the order of Vasif Talibov, chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, on December 7, 2015.
Ilhama Mustafayeva is the wife of Commander of the Nakhchivan Army Special Forces, Lieutenant-General Karam Mustafayev.
