Azerbaijan and Turkiye are working to meet the additional gas needs of Southeast European countries

“Turkiye and Azerbaijan are working on how to meet the additional needs of South-Eastern European countries in natural gas,” said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at the joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister of Italy, Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani held in Ankara, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports.

He noted that the two countries are trying to increase the transmission capacity of TAP and TANAP.

“We are even discussing the connection of Turkmenistan's gas to this system in a way that will benefit Azerbaijan. This issue was also assessed within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Turkiye-Turkmenistan leaders' summit held in Avaza,” stressed the minister.
