Azerbaijan makes significant contributions to Europe's energy supply through the SGC - Laura Lochman

"The 9th meeting of ministers within the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council in Baku is important. Through the Southern Gas Corridor, Azerbaijan makes substantial contributions to the energy supply of European countries," said Laura Lochman, the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Energy Resources of the State Department of the U.S, while received by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on February 2, APA reports.

The guest noted that new cooperation prospects have emerged in the field of renewable energy, including green hydrogen, based on the foundations created by the Southern Gas Corridor, and said that our country plays an important role in the implementation of these projects.

He congratulated the signing of the Agreement on strategic partnership in the field of green energy between the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary and Romania.
