"Such a synergy of energy security and decarbonization is a modern global tendency, which accelerates switch to green energy and makes it a driver of energy independence," said Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov while his speech at Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
"Today here we can say that transformative processes are underway which will change dynamics of the energy system of Azerbaijan. Completely different, a new page is opened in the energy history of the Caspian Sea. Thus, we will sign a new agreement on large-scale "green" energy projects in pearl of Karabakh - Shusha two days after," noted P. Shahbazov.
Noting the "green" agenda of Azerbaijan, supported by multi-directional reforms in the energy field, coordinates with global development trends, Minister has added that in the future Azerbaijan will be a country that expands energy partnership with neighboring countries and Europe on several alternative sources thanks to export of gas to be saved, "green energy" and "clean" hydrogen.
