“Opening of Zangazur corridor will allow arriving cargos by sea from China to our country and countries in the region to reach fortnight earlier,” Head of Strategic Planning and Development Department Khudayar Hasanli of "Baku International Sea Trade Port," told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, alongside saving time, this will impact prices as well.
“If cargos are transported via Zangaur corridor through Turkiye’s Mersin port, this will be twofold cheap. At the same time, the absence of a border cross point will affect time and cost,” noted the head of the department.
