“It is 30 years that a pretty powerful partnership has been established between Great Britain and Azerbaijan. This partnership covers all fields of the economy, and the oil and gas sector comes first. Britain, as always, has been at the forefront of green energy in Azerbaijan over the years. This makes us very happy,” said Baroness Emma Nicholson of Winterbourne, UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan at the 28th Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
“There is a great potential for offshore wind energy in Azerbaijan. We think that such kinds of projects are of vital importance. This is a very good mission in terms of achieving the goals set by Azerbaijan and in terms of providing cleaner energy. We are ready to share Britain’s experience regarding offshore wind energy,” stressed Baroness.
