"Export operations are underway through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline via the territory of Turkiye," the head of the Public Relations Department at BP Azerbaijan, Tamam Bayatli, told APA-Economics.
“The pipeline was not damaged. Export operations continue through the pipeline, and oil is collected in the tanks at the Ceyhan terminal,” Tamam Bayatli said.
According to her, oil filling into the ships was temporarily suspended due to the detection of an oil leak in the part of the Ceyhan terminal, where oil is loaded into tankers.
Tamam Bayatli also added that the leak has already been eliminated, and relevant investigation and evaluation works are underway. After these works are completed, the departure of ships from the terminal will be resumed. The head of the department did not specify when this process would be resumed.
