Since today Bulgaria starts to receive Azerbaijani gas in full volume, APA-Economics reports citing Bulgarian media.
The transportation of full contract volumes (1 billion cubic meters per year) should be carried out not through the 182-kilometer Greece-Bulgaria connecting gas pipeline (Interconnector Greece – Bulgaria - IGB), but through the other - Nea Mesimvria, a temporary delivery point.
According to the Executive director of ICGB project company (project operator) Teodora Georieva, IGB will start to operate in September-October of this year.
The annual transmission capacity of the IGB pipeline will be 3 bln. cubic meters, this indicator can reach 5 bln. cubic meters in the future. It is expected that from September of this year. Azerbaijani gas will be transported to Bulgaria via pipeline.
