"During the export from Azerbaijan to the European Union, the cases of detection of aflatoxin in hazelnut batches have decreased sharply compared to previous years," said the chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA), Goshgar Tahmezli, during his meeting with EU representation in Azerbaijan, Ambassador Peter Mikhalko and hazelnut exporters in Zagatala district, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that hazelnut occupies an important place among the agricultural products exported from the country.
Goshgar Tahmezli said that the control over the exported hazelnut products was strengthened, and consistent measures were taken in this field.
