"Azerbaijan is interested in increasing special share of new technologies in electricity production," Deputy Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Soltanov while his speech at German-Azerbaijani Sustainability Forum dedicated to "Renewable Energy in Azerbaijan", APA-Economics reports.
According to him, active work is underway in Azerbaijan now for development of alternative and renewable energy sources.
Elnur Soltanov has stressed that work is underway in the territories liberated from occupation in the direction of establishment of green energy zone and these lands have great opportunities for it.
Deputy Minister has also added that besides Nakhchivan, Karabakh also has great resources for development of solar energy.
