"FAO commends Azerbaijan's commitment to applying digital technologies in agriculture," Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Qu Dongyu at the international conference on digital agriculture held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, the world is suffering from a humanitarian crisis. Global climate change and existing agricultural systems increase food security risks. The reports of international organizations for 2021 also indicate such a forecast. The current situation requires establishing new sustainable systems and digital technologies in agriculture. Discussions in this direction are underway in Azerbaijan, including livestock development, strengthening young farms, and rural advisory services.
