Gas consumption increased by 12% in Azerbaijan last year

Gas consumption has sharply increased in Azerbaijan because of the deterioration of weather conditions, Director General of Azerigas PU Ruslan Aliyev told journalists within the framework of the "Open door" campaign, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, Azerigas has received 7,52 bln cubic meters of gas in 2021 that which is 774 mln cubic meters or 11,5% more in annual comparison.

R. Aliyev has also noted that 5,43 bln cubic meters of the consumed gas has been on population lines, and 2,1 bln cubic meters fell to the share of the industrial lines.
