European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson will pay a visit to Azerbaijan and the USA in order to discuss additional gas supply to the European Union, said European Commission spokesman Tim McPhee at a briefing in Brussels on Tuesday, APA-Economics reports citing TASS.
“Negotiations on gas supply will be continued. On February 4, Friday, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson will visit Azerbaijan for attending a ministerial meeting of the countries participating in the Southern Gas Corridor,” said Tim McPhee.
According to him, Kadri Simson and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell will travel to the United States to participate in the EU-US Energy Council meeting.
