Moldova is considering buying natural gas from Azerbaijan, said Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu told local media, APA reports.
"Moldova has a chance to buy gas from Azerbaijan. Finally, Moldova has a real chance to diversify its gas supplies, and it will happen sooner or later. I will not disclose the exact, but I assure you that Moldova will have diversified gas sources in the next few years. It could even happen this year,” Spinu said.
He stressed that talks are underway with Azerbaijani colleagues in this direction.
