“Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG), which accounts for 63% of oil production in Azerbaijan, and "Shah Deniz" fields, where approximately 70% of commercial gas is produced, have so far produced 623 mln. tons of oil and condensate,” said Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, Parviz Shahbazov at the event held on the occasion of Oilmen’s Day professional holiday, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, during the reporting period, 580 mln. tons of oil were extracted from “Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli” while 43 mln. tons of gas condensate from “Shah Deniz”.
It was noted that during the reporting period, 621 mln. tons of oil-condensate are exported from the mentioned fields.
Additionally, the Minister emphasized that the joint position with its partners regarding the development of ACG until 2050 is important not only for the stability of oil production in Azerbaijan, but also for the stability of the energy markets where there is a lack of supply.
