On December 16, an agreement was signed between the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Romgaz S.A. on gas supply to Romania from Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
The agreement provides for the scheduled transportation of natural gas from the Greek-Comotini exit point of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), the European branch of the Southern Gas Corridor, through the Greece-Bulgaria Gas Interconnector (IGB) from January 1, 2023.
The agreement, which ensures the delivery of Azerbaijani gas to a new buyer in Europe, serves the strategic goals of our country on diversification of gas supply within the framework of new bilateral partnerships with various European countries.
