"Germany is in search of alternative sources on gas import," said German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig, APA reports.
The ambassador has reminded that the Azerbaijani Energy Minister met with his German counterparts while attending the Energy Forum in Berlin: “Germany will be represented at the Energy Forum to be held in Baku in June. I can't say for sure whether it will be a minister, deputy minister, or at what level, but Germany will take part in this forum."
The diplomat stressed the existence of cooperation between SOCAR and the German gas company Uniper: “A meeting will be held between SOCAR and Uniper on April 28, and they will sign a document. Germany is very interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of energy resources. We know that the Southern Gas Corridor has reached its limit and is not designed to transport enough gas to meet the current situation."
