From January to September of this year, SOCAR transported more than 2 billion cubic meters of gas from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of oil and gas fields, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, through the Sangachal terminal, including the installation at Oil Rocks, which corresponds to the same period last year, APA-Economics reports citing BP's report.

During the reporting period, an average of 8 mln cubic meters of gas was transferred from ACG to SOCAR per day.

“The rest of the produced associated gas was re-injected to the collector to keep the pressure”, reads the report.

Note that a part of the gas produced in ACG is given to SOCAR at no charge.
