In January-August this year, 24 057,3 thousand tonnes of oil was transported via main oil pipelines in Azerbaijan, which is 3,1% more than in comparison to the relevant figure of 2021, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
79% of transportation was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline, 19 002,7 thousand tonnes of oil was transported through the pipeline during the reporting period (9% more than in 2021).
According to the report, 3 012,7 thousand tonnes of transit oil (36.1% more in annual comparison) were transported via the BTC during the reporting period.
