Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov held discussions with UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy for Azerbaijan Baroness Nichol, regarding the transition to clean energy, as well as the development of cooperation within the Intergovernmental Committee (IGC), APA-Economics reports.
"The UK is the largest foreign investor in Azerbaijan with an investment of 34 billion USD," Parviz Shahbazov said.
"The event, held jointly with the Energy Industries Council (EIC), was a productive platform to deepen our energy cooperation with the UK by assessing opportunities in the fields of Green Energy and Energy Transition in Azerbaijan. The UK is interested in cooperation on green energy financing," added Azerbaijani Minister.
