"The US appreciates Azerbaijan's contribution to the energy security of the region," said the US Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources Geoffrey Ross Pyatt while delivering a speech at the opening of Baku Energy Week, APA reports.
"The US and Azerbaijan enjoy long-term cooperation. The United States remains committed to supporting the stability in the South Caucasus, sovereignty, and independence of countries," he said.
Geoffrey Ross Pyatt noted that the US appreciates Azerbaijan's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"We appreciate Azerbaijan's contribution to the region's energy security," he said.
The US official then read the address of President Biden to the event participants.
