6th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was held, APA-Economics reports.
Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, co-chairman of the Commission stressed that brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan developed successfully and our country attaches importance to the expansion of partnership with Turkmenistan.
He highlighted that a significant increase was observed in trade, which is one of the main areas of cooperation. Thus, the volume of trade turnover in January-October increased more than 6,5 times compared to the corresponding period of the last year.
The co-chairman of the Commission, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdaev stressed the successful relations between our countries and shared his views on the development of partnership in new directions, the expansion of business relations, and the implementation of joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, co-chairmen of the Intergovernmental Commission inked the protocol on the results of the meeting.
