Azerbaijan increased import of meat, milk, and butter

In January-May of this year, 15 340,04 tonnes of meat were imported to Azerbaijan in the amount of USD 26 716,9 thousand, APA-Economics reports citing the report of the State Customs Committee.

This is 3,5% more in value in comparison to the figure of the previous year, and 4,5% more in volume.

In the reporting period, 4 482,73 tonnes of milk (an increase of 40%) worth USD 6 670,5 thousand was imported to the country.

In addition, in the first five months of the current year, 8 927,55 tonnes of butter worth USD 49 646,04 thousand and other butter prepared from the milk was imported to the country that this is relatively 51,6% and 32,&% more.
