Crocus Group company owned by Russian businessman of Azerbaijani origin, Araz Agalarov, will build a technical complex for the assembly and testing of the Angara launch vehicle at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur region, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

The director of the Vostochny Cosmodrome signed a no-tender contract worth 15.4 billion rubles with the group.

The technical complex is necessary for assembly of components of "Angara" and testing of the jet carrier. From there, the rockets will be delivered to the launch complex for launch. Release complex built since 2018 for Angara should be ready this year, launch of the first rocket from Vostochny cosmodrome is planned for December. The price of the contract for the construction of the launch complex in the summer of 2022 was increased from 39 billion to 52 billion rubles.
