"Germany is trying to create a basis for increasing trade with Azerbaijan within Europe, as well as to increase investments here," said Ralf Horlemann, the German ambassador to Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.

He said that, however, there are also difficulties with investing in Azerbaijan: "German companies have a different approach to investment, they do not make quick decisions regarding investment. At present, the main difficulty related to investment in Azerbaijan is the lack of peace and stability due to the current conflict. It is important for every investor to ensure stability before investing".

The ambassador also said that interest in Azerbaijan is growing and there is great potential in various fields: "One of them is related to renewable energy. On the other hand, we want to join this trade hub considering the growing trade flows between Asia, Europe, and the South Caucasus. Great and long-term opportunities have been created in Karabakh in the field of infrastructure and reconstruction. I can say that German companies have extensive "now-how" experience in the field of reconstruction. We must look to the future and the possibilities. I think that the exclusive publication "Market Analysis Azerbaijan 2022-2023" presented today shows the interest in various fields and recognizes the opportunities to take advantage of the opportunities of them," the ambassador said.
