Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Switzerland increases by 9 times

Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Switzerland was USD 881 mln. in January-May of this year or more than 8.8 times in comparison with the relevant period of the previous year, APA-Economics citing the Ministry of Economy.

Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Economics of Azerbaijan, said in his speech at the 8th meeting of the Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Swiss Federal Council on Trade and Economic Cooperation held in Bern.

According to him, Switzerland takes one of the leading places in the exportation of the non-oil product.

“52% of the general turnover between Switzerland and Southern Caucasus laid upon Azerbaijan in 2018. Thus, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Switzerland was USD 648 mln, and it was by 2.7 times more than 2017”.
