Brands, quality and affordable prices within one store
Veyseloglu Group of Companies (VGC) has joined forces with a German drugstore operator ‘Dirk Rossman GmbH’ to open a first Rossmann store in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku. With over 4,300 stores across Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Spain, Albania, Kosovo and Türkiye, Rossmann is one of Europe’s largest drugstore chains.
In addition to a typical set of drugstore products with a focus on skin, hair, body, baby and health, Rossmann also offers a perfume range with around 200 commercial brands, as well as some of the best-known own brands, such as Isana (skin, hair and body care), Alterra (natural cosmetics) and domol (cleaning and laundry detergents).
The official opening of the store was attended by VGC’s top management, official representatives from Rossmann, members of the German diplomatic mission to Baku and representatives of the German Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce. Speaking at the event, Rossmann’s Marek Karasch said: “As a known European company we’re quite excited about the opening of our first shop in Baku. We sincerely hope that our cooperation with Veyseloglu Group of Companies will be long-term and mutually beneficial”.
In his turn, the member of VCG’s Supervisory Board Vusal Sharifov said: “Our company’s mission is to drive a long-term growth for the nation’s economy and create value for the consumers. Bringing this well-known German brand to Azerbaijan will make a variety of high-quality European products available to the local population at affordable prices. I believe this partnership serves well our philosophy of creating value for the communities around us”.
The first Rossmann store in Baku is located at 162 Sharifzade street (in the vicinity of Inshaatchilar underground station). VCG and Rossmann expect the opening of the second store to be located near Azerbaijan State University within the next few weeks. The partners are planning to increase the number of stores, as well as variety of products, in the near future.
